On Behalf of the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi administration and its staff, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

From home to home, heart to heart, from one place to another, the warmth and Joy of Christmas brings us closer to each other as community members.

The New Year's Celebrations 2018 will be held on December 31, 2017. All Activities and Events will take place at the Community Health and Fitness Centre (CHFC). Come celebrate the New Year with us, many prizes to be won and lots of fun for everyone to enjoy!  For more information please contact the local Christmas Festivities 2017 committee at 819-753-2450.

Join Us for a Community Workshop on Ventilation, Moisture and Mould


Date:            TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2017 

Time:           7 P.M.

This workshop will look at the role of ventilation in maintaining good indoor air and minimizing mould problems features Tex McLeod.

The CFNW annual Moose Break will be held on the week of October 2-6, 2017.  The administration and maintenance will be closed.  However, essential services will remain open during the Moose Break.  For more information please contact the Band Office at 819-753-2587.  Meegwetch!

The Minor Sports Association (MSA) is now opening for the minor hockey and broomball registrations 2017-18.  For more information, please contact the Leisure and Sports Services department at 819-753-2600.

The annual General Assembly will be held on September 5, 6 & 7, 2017 at the Community Health & Fitness Centre (CHFC).  Also, information booths will be diplayed on September 7, 2017 for the fall and winter activities schedules.  For more information please contact the CFNW departments at 819-753-2587.
