Our annual gathering of the Old Post (Chiiwetau) will be held from July 19, 2019 to August 2, 2019.  This event will take place at the Old Post island in Waswanipi Lake.  Many activities, events and traditional practices will be part of the Chiiwetau festivities.  For more information please contact Robin Gull at 819.753.2587.

The Canada Day Festivities will be held on June 30 and July 1, 2019 at the Community Health and Fitness Centre (CHFC) along with other events to be included, MSA Banquet and Awards, Communitry Recognition Awards and the Fireworks on July 1.  For more information, please contact Clarissa Happyjack at 819.753.2450.

Our Chiefs hockey team won the Fred Sasakamoose Chief Thunderstick National Hockey Tournament in Saskatoon 2019.  CHIEFS are the National Aboriginal Hockey Champs!  The event took place on April 26-28, 2019 in Saskatoon, SK.

As part of our annual clean-up, we encourage everyone to take part of this year's Community clean-up.  Community members, teachers, students, workers and Band employees.  There is no confirmation date yet but you can contact the Band admionistration office for furthet information.  Meegwetch!

Chief and Council extended our traditional leave (Goose Break) until May 21, 2019. Enjoy the extended Goose Break!  Work will resume on May 21, 2019.

The Minor Sports Association (MSA) and the Leisure and Sports Services (LSS) will host the annual Minor Hockey & Broomball Invitational Tournament on March 21-24, 2019 at the All Chiefs Memorial Arena/Community Health & Fitness Centre (CHFC).  For more information please contact the LSS at 819.753.2450.
