KaZaA:
Probably the best freeware program that is available! This is a P2P file sharing program that lets you share video, audio, documents, software, images, and other stuff. But beware, some software, documents, and other files may contain viruses. I would only use KaZaA if you have some type of virus software. Read more about KaZaA here.

Update: A lot of users have recommended KaZaA Lite. This is the same thing as KaZaA but without the ads and more things you can do. It is packed with a lot of features. KaZaA Lite can be found at www.k-lite.tk. But you also have to remember, without the ads, we all wouldn't have KaZaA.

Update: The new KaZaA K++ blocks RIAA and other bad IP addresses so now you can't get caught for downloading or sharing music. Get this now before you find yourself in jail! The RIAA is also charging a whopping $100,000-$650,000 PER song! So if you just have one song, that might put you in bankrupt!

MyIE2 -
MyIE2 is a great internet browser. Out of all of the browsers I have used, none come close to the power of MyIE2. There's so many features that other browsers do not have. One of my favorites is the flash saving tool. I've seen a lot of flash movies that I really like and always wished I could save them to my computer for easier access, with MyIE2, I can do this. Also, the built in pop-up blocker gets rid of all those pesky pop up ads on sites. MyIE2 supports tabbed browsing, which means you can have more then one window open in the brower. Also, you can password protect the tabs so no one can see what you're looking at. Another cool feature is that you can tell the browser what to load, so if you're on 56K internet, then you can tell it to not load images so you can just read. Other browsers don't get much respect because they don't support the Google Toolbar, but, MyIE2 supports it. Space Odyssey 2.0:
A hard drive certainly can be a messy place. It can be crammed full of stuff you don't need, or want. Windows applications litter your hard drive with junk that serves no purpose. This junk can cause your PC to slow down and even cause some application problems. Update: I just tried this program and it is awesome! It cleans out everything you don't need on your computer. There was one file I had that had 15 copies! But I deleted everything I didn't need and it made my computer a lot, and I mean A LOT better. Not only does it make the computer run faster, it also frees up space. The site says you can't use it on XP but I tried it and it works perfectly fine. This program is so easy to use! All I had to do for it to scan my computer for files was just press one button! Then it found about 5,000 files. I deleted ALL of them with another click of a button. This was so easy! So I'm changing my opinion on this:

This program includes four interlocking security services: a firewall, an Application Control, an Internet Lock, and Zones. The firewall controls the door to your computer and allows only traffic that you understand and initiate. The Application Control allows you to decide which applications can and cannot use the Internet. The Internet Lock blocks Internet traffic while your computer is unattended or while you are not using the Internet, and it can be activated automatically with your computer's screensaver or after a set period of inactivity. Virus Detection and Prevention Tips

• Do not open any files attached to an email from an unknown, suspicious or untrustworthy source.
• Do not open any files attached to an email unless you know what it is, even if it appears to come from a dear friend or someone you know. Some viruses can replicate themselves and spread through email. Better be safe than sorry and confirm that they really sent it.
• Do not open any files attached to an email if the subject line is questionable or unexpected. If the need to do so is there always save the file to your hard drive before doing so.
• Delete chain emails and junk email. Do not forward or reply to any to them. These types of email are considered spam, which is unsolicited, intrusive mail that clogs up the network.
• Do not download any files from strangers.
• Exercise caution when downloading files from the Internet. Ensure that the source is a legitimate and reputable one, even if it's from a friend. They might be infected and the virus is sending itself to all his contacts and friends. Verify that an anti-virus program checks the files on the download site. If you're uncertain, don't download the file at all or download the file to a floppy and test it with your own anti-virus software.
• Update your anti-virus software regularly. Over 500 viruses are discovered each month, so you'll want to be protected. These updates should be at the least the products virus signature files. You may also need to update the product's scanning engine as well.
• Back up your files on a regular basis. If a virus destroys your files, at least you can replace them with your back-up copy. You should store your backup copy in a separate location from your work files, one that is preferably not on your computer.
• When in doubt, always err on the side of caution and do not open, download, or execute any files or email attachments. Not executing is the more important of these caveats. Check with your product vendors for updates which include those for your operating system web browser, and email. One example is the security site section of Microsoft located at http://www.microsoft.com/security.
• If you are in doubt about any potential virus-related situation you find yourself in, you may report a virus to our virus team.
