Fire Department
The Fire Departments constitutes a team that oversees the administration and technical work associated in planning, organizing and directing the activities and the constant training of the firefighters. It is also responsible for the safety of the community at all times and to demonstrate a level of adequate operational preparedness to deal with any kind of disaster or emergency such as fire. It assists in the community evacuation, in case of forest fire, search and rescue operations, clearing of natural hazards that could affect the community. It works with the local police department or the emergency services of the province depending on the gravity of the situation it faces.

As the fire department takes on more roles and responsibilities, the technical and management training had to be adjusted and adapted to confront the more complex nature of the functions expected of firefighters. It used to be that fire suppression was the department’s only function. As the community grows and the needs change, the people of the department have become members of a multi-tasked agency, capable of dealing with many forms of emergencies.
Let’s keep tragedies to a minimum.
