Housing

The Housing Commision help identify and plan for housing and infrastructure projects for the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi. It determines housing needs of the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi, and assists in developing annual long term housing programs/projects. The members of this committee are as follows:

• Flora Gull (Housing Administrator)

The Housing administration department manages and administers 77 Band housing units and 286 CMHC housing units. Under the direct supervison of the Housing Administrator, the role of this department is as follows:

• Maintain housing and demographic statistics.
• Provide appropriate documents for housing needs and requirements
• Establish, monitor and implement collection of all current and delinquent rents
• Maintain administrative services as provided for the the Cree First Nation of and Waswanipi and CMHC programs

The Rental finance department assist in the implemention of the band and CMHC units. The following are the employees of the finance department of the Waswanipi Rental housing:

Under the direct supervison of the Housing Maintenance Manager, four full-time employees work in the Housing maintenance.  They establish and implement a preventive and regular maintenance service for the Band and CMHC units.
